Just a few things that brightened up this past week:
I recently downloaded “The Secret: Daily Teachings” app on my iPhone and I love it so much. Each day you get a little lesson that helps you work on positive thinking, affirmations and the law of attraction. It really helps me start the day off with the right mindset.
I am going to Toronto for a week at the end of the month to get some training for work. I am so grateful that the company is investing in me to learn more so I can be as effective on the job as possible.
Coffee Friday. I have a little tradition at work to go and grab a coffee with the girls in my corner on Friday mornings, rain or shine (or blizzard or wind chill). It gives us something to look forward to and it helps us celebrate another successful week.
Reliable transportation. I bought my first ever new car last fall and not worrying every morning about whether or not it will start is such a relief.
I had my favorite sushi for lunch on Saturday.
My Main Taste Tester’s mom has been in Mexico for two weeks and last night we got together for our regular Sunday supper and to hear about her trip. It’s nice to have her back.
The Oscars were such a pleasure to watch. I loved Ellen DeGeneres as host and I thought she brought humor and a laidback feel to what can be a pretentious event. The fashion and glamour of it all totally seduced me (even though I was wearing pajamas and drinking a Slurpee while I watched). The speeches, particularly Jared Leto and Matthew McConaughey’s were so inspiring.
