My Favorite Things: Lush

lush

I recently put in an online order with Lush and decided it was time I tell you about my favorites. I’ve been a fan for years and tried so many things. Here is a mix of my old standbys and new likes:

Feeling Younger Skin Tint. This is a new purchase for me. I’ve tried it in store and borrowed my sisters before finally biting the bullet and I’m so happy I did. It’s a super light cream with a pearly shimmer; perfect for when you need a glow. I’ve been mixing it into my foundation and adding some on my cheekbones for  a highlight. It’s a great addition to my makeup routine and dull winter skin.

No Drought Dry Shampoo. I’m obsessed with this stuff and can’t stand to go without it. I tried it almost a year ago at the urging of several salesgirls in the store but I was kind of skeptical. In fact, at first I HATED it. I was used to Batiste spray and I found the loose powder messy. I retired it but then I ran out of Batiste and resorted back to this one. I came to realize that with Batiste, I still need to put more on midday at times, a lot of product gets sprayed into the air and wasted, and the scent can be overwhelming. Once I got used to using No Drought, I had very little waste. That tiny $7 bottle lasted me almost a year with regular use, instead of buying a new bottle of Batiste every month for $10…you do the math. I like the subtle, fresh scent of No Drought and the fact that it seems easier on my scalp. I just bought the big bottle…it’ll last me forever.

Karma….everything. I’ve been wearing some form of it for years; the scent intoxicates me. I carry the travel size perfume in my purse if I need a quick pick-me-up. The body cream, soap, bath bomb and shampoo bar are all excellent as well.

Speaking of shampoo bars: Seanik is my favorite for summer. It gives great beachy texture from the salt and seaweed. Montalbano is one of the brand new ones that came with my last order. It smells like lemon meringue pie and makes my hair super shiny and bouncy. I’m a fan.

Bohemian Soap. I love this way this smells. It’s super citrus-y and fresh to help wake you up in the shower.

Hottie Massage Bar. This bar has raised nubs on one side to help with massage. It’s really moisturizing and the scent is relaxing.

Let the Good Times Roll. I love, love, love this. It’s a gentle scrub that I use a couple of times a week to exfoliate my face. It smells like caramel popcorn to me and I want to eat it every time I use it.

Do you have any recommendations I need to hear about?

  1. You need to try the Lush Lip Scrubs! They come in lots of different flavours, I have the Bubblegum one I did a review on a couple of weeks ago – it’s amazing! Xoxo
